Brave Enough to Notice the Little Things

Baby Miss is brave. She wants to do any and every thing her sister does and has the attitude to go with it. She's not afraid of bugs (unless they're ants) and she could sit in the grass all day if we let her.

She's so different from me. She picks flowers and sniffs the leaves she finds on the ground. She points out every bird in the sky and waits for more to soar.

She wrestles with her dad and adores the Ninja Turtles. There isn't an episode that plays without her dancing and doing the fight moves.

This stage that involves screaming and teething. Tantrums and grunting. Yelling "no" and crying when she hears it is also so beautiful in many ways. It's the moments when she learns something new for the first time. The wonder in her heart from a first time life experience like holding a twig or playing with pebbles while sitting on the curb make my heart sing. The way her eyes light up when the ice cream truck comes, reminds me that it's the little things. It's always been the little things.

  1. Great story about your daughter and you enjoying here learning things and doing things. I think sometimes that God must get excited like that about us. When we finally understand something that He wanted us to know or learn.
